Dear Mr Heng,
With reference to your request for information I hereby inform you as follows.
First of all I offer you my apologies for the delay in the response to your e-mail.
As a Chinese national who wish to apply for Dutch citizenship, you have to submit the following documents regarding your birth:
1. a legalised notarial statement on which is stated:
- family name
- first name
- date of birth
- place of birth
- name of your father and mother
and
2. a legalised certified true copy of the document(s) on which the notarial statement is based regarding your birth and the information about your parents. The documents which can be accepted for this are:
- Hukou of your parents in which your birth is noted, or
- statement of the hospital in which is specifically mentioned that the statement can be used for registration of the birth in the Hukou registration record, or
- a statement of the Public Security Bureau concerning this information.
This means that a legalised certified true copy of Hukou document can be accepted in the naturalisation procedure.
You can find more information about this subject on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (only available in Dutch): http://www.minbuza.nl/producten-en-diensten/burgerzaken/legalisatie-van-documenten/landeninformatie/c/china.html.
I hope to have informed you sufficiently.
