请问有谁知道phd后留校做faculty的可能性？

现在荷兰大学里哪有什么永久职位啊。。。。除了教授都是CONTRACT的。。。

我在想，如果去HOGESCHOOL教书呢，听说那里面大多都是U的MASTER在当老师，我想如果是PHD更应该可以了吧。

还是有tenure的

嗯，大部分新的职位都是TENURE TRACK，还有不少学校三年就能搞定。。。。。。。。

This is not right. Besides professor, there're positions called UD and UHD in university. These're permanent positions. But I don't think there're any positions purely doing teaching, research would be more important, so publishing nice papers is going to be the aim of your career if you stay in academic.

Jobs in Hogesschool may focus more on teaching. But fluent dutch might be more important than a PhD degree.

嗯，看了各位的解释我也发现我对paper之前的认识是比较肤浅，因为也没有真正接触过所以就自以为是一般除了特别牛的paper其他都是看数量的。不过你指的phd后换个地方容易一点是什么意思呢？是指去公司吗？

换个学校了，在原来学校，除非读博后，想找讲师的位置，很难的。不过换个学校，还是有希望的

国外高校一般不鼓励PHD留在本校，避免近亲繁殖应该是一个原因。。。。。。。。另外学术氛围不会过于沉闷。。。。。。。

I think if you wanna be a faculty after getting a PhD, then study hard during these 4 years. If you are really capable, I am sure you can find a position in Europe. Most professors here are experts, you don't need to worry if you can be appreciated if you are really good.

没办法啊，在哪里paper都是王道！说实在话，这个标准比国内以人脉为标准客观多了。
