What are the advantages of a permanent residence permit?
A permanent residence permit gives you more rights and guarantees thana temporary residence permit. If you wish to take out a mortgagebecause you want to buy a house, mortgage lenders will often ask to seea permanent residence permit. With a permanent residence permit youwill no longer have to meet the specific conditions of a purpose ofresidence and you will no longer need to extend your residence permit.
The permanent residence permit must be renewed every 5 years. There is no fee for this.
It is up to you to decide whether you wish to apply for a permanent residence permit.
If I do not have a residence document, will I still be accruing rights for a permanent residence permit?
No, you must have had your main residence in the Netherlands for 5years and you must have held a valid residence permit for 5 years.
The only exception to this is if you are an EU national. Pursuant tothe EU Treaty, EU nationals have an immediate right of residence andare therefore not obliged to hold a residence document. EU citizens candemonstrate their lawful residence in a different way.
If I move to another country can I keep my residence permit?
If you have a permanent residence permit, you are permitted to residein another EU country for a maximum of 6 years. You are permitted toreside outside of the EU for a maximum of 12 months.
I have a residence permit for study purposes: can I apply for a permanent residence permit?
No, you are only eligible for a permanent residence permit if, at thetime of the application, you hold a residence permit for anon-temporary purpose, such as family reunification, employment andre-entry.
I have committed an offence and have received a sentence. Can my residence permit be withdrawn because of this?
Inprinciple, this may be grounds for withdrawing your residence permit,but it depends on the sentence you have received and the total durationof your stay in the Netherlands.
What is the difference between holding a permanent residence permit and having Dutch nationality?
Having a permanent residence permit does not make you a Dutch citizen.You are not entitled to a Dutch passport. You do not become an EUnational. Having Dutch nationality also entitles you to vote in Houseof Representatives and Provincial Council elections.
As a Dutch citizen you are entitled to assistance from Dutch Embassiesabroad. If you move abroad permanently, your permanent residence permitwill be withdrawn (see the question: will my residence permit bewithdrawn if I move abroad?). If you are a Dutch citizen, you canreturn to the Netherlands after a stay abroad.
If you apply for Dutch nationality, you must, in principle, renounceyour original nationality. This is not required if you are applying fora permanent residence permit.
Am I permitted to work if I have a permanent residence permit?
Yes, you are free to work in the Netherlands. You are free to choose anemployer, you are permitted to work on a self-employed basis and you donot require a work permit.

TheIND works with a net income per month forthe income requirements(except for the highly skilled migrants). The netincome requirement fora permanent residence permit is € 609.83 net per month,excluding theholiday allowance. If he has a partner that has income, theincomes ofthe partners can be added up. In the situation they should have atotalincome of € 1219.67 net a month excluding holiday allowance.
所以说不算休假金,一个月税后609.83就可以申请PR了。
