Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer V1.2 是微软“战略技术保护计划”的一部分，也是一种改良的检查常见不安全系统配置的工具。Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer 简称MSBA，目前的1.2版于2004年2月20日发布。
　　
　　MSBA 1.2 包含图形化、命令行式的界面，可以扫描本地或远程的windows系统。它可以在Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003系统下运行，可以扫描如下产品：Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Internet Information Server (IIS), SQL Server, Internet Explorer, 以及Office。此外，MBSA 1.2 还可以检查如下产品是否安装了安全更新: Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, IIS, SQL Server, IE, Exchange Server, Windows Media Player, Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC), MSXML, Microsoft Virtual Machine, Commerce Server, Content Management Server, BizTalk Server, Host Integration Server, and Office.
