One of our fellow presented very comprehensive information regarding the dutch labour contract. I would like to supplement one things here for your reference.
According to the new collective labour agreement, some Dutch firms such as financial institutions employ a two-month, instead of one-month, probationary period since 2007. I am not sure whether many firms change the length of probationary period now.
When you sign the contract with a Dutch firm in 2007, it's wise to check its collective labour agreement reached.
