Your host's request for advice has led to a positive recommendation concerning your application for an authorisation for temporary stay. To obtain such an authorisation, you must submit an application to the Dutch diplomatic or consular mission in your country of origin or long-term residence.

1. A valid passport (containing at least one blank visa page and valid for at least 3 months after issuing the MVV visa) plus copy of the holderpage and signaturepage.

2. A fully completed and signed MVV application form (can be downloaded from our website),

3. Two resembling passport pictures (one attached to the form, one separate. Facing forward, in color, white background)

4. For Chinese citizens: A certified notarial copy of your family "hukou" book (with translation in English of the pages concerning yourself and your parents) or the original “hukou” book (plus photocopy of all pages and mentions)

5. Flight reservation, if possible. (Never buy a ticket before you receive your MVV ! )

ATTENTION: In the Netherlands you will need an original birth certificate to register at the townhall, that may not be older than six months when you register!

You must apply for your MVV (authorisation for temporary stay) within six months of the date of this decision.

The MVV will be issued after three working days.

Within three days of your arrival in The Netherlands you must report to the local authorities in the municipality of your settlement. Your referee has been informed about the details.
