不是偶吃不到葡萄说葡萄酸。

CFA说穿了就是瞎**扯淡，含金量还不如一个金融硕士。

当然，对于没有没有finance北京的人来说，是一块入行的敲门砖。

哈，mahone你跟我想的差不多。

不过说CFA瞎扯淡不至于，还是有用处的。最主要的是能考出来3级，还是要给credit的，因为这考试不简单。

不过现在很多人过分强调CFA的作用了，事实是CFA一级基本没什么用，而如果不从事front office of asset management类的工作
CFA在银行就是个加薪的手段。而如果没有真正金融业的从业经验，CFA的用处也不大, CFA是属于锦上添花的东西，有当然比没有强。

You are right for sure. If you have CFA, you have a better Chance to stand out.

CFA is more for front-office role such as equity analyst/portfolio manager. (less popular in the field of M&A/PE/trading though).

For middle office/back office?  I would say it is more for the title. not quite day to day related.

hey mahone,

the bull is freaky strong. if today S&P can break 887, we may see 920 within weeks. However, the stress test is a huge question mark.  At this point it seems both bulls and bears have some cards to play.

the macro still sucks. The only good news is the economy stops free falling. Have you noticed the recent earnings? Lots of techs beat the expectation. The basic materials also breaks out. The oil surges like hell. (I am skepitcal about this)

I may long the some tech names and steel companies. Meanwhile, I will keep shorting financials as a hedge. (I still do not like those big banks)

Some private equity companies/asset managers can be a very good speculative play.

Anyway, I will stay hedged.

其实我也是担心今天stress test的结果一出来，本轮反弹结束。

正在想是不是要买put做空。

我也很讨厌fiancials，我有个同学偏偏喜欢C，BAC等垃圾股，要逢低买入，怎么说他都不听，真是不见棺材不掉泪。
