- www.studentenkamers.nl - a website (in Dutch) with ads concerning rooms for rent in
many towns in the Netherlands. Select 'Nijmegen' and then you will see descriptions of
rooms in Nijmegen. If you click on the number in the upper left corner then you will get
contact details (usually with e-mail).
- www.opkamers.nl – a website in Dutch with ads concerning rooms for rent in many towns
in the Netherlands. Click on “zoeken” on te left side, click on the first option (“ik zoek een
woonruimte”), select “Nijmegen” and then you will see ads of accommodation with phone
numbers and e-mail addresses. You can also place an ad that you are looking for
accommodation: on the first page you need to click on “plaatsen” on the left side.
- www.kamernet.nl (这是很多人推荐的) a website in Dutch with ads concerning rooms for rent in many towns in the Netherlands. In the option “vind een kamer in:” select “Nijmegen” and then you will see ads of available rooms. Further details about the room and the contactperson appear when you click on the streetname, then you get the option to register (for free) for this site: fill out your e-mail address and click on “inloggen”.
- www.huisverhuren.nl a website in Dutch for people who are looking for independent accommodation (no single rooms) in the Netherlands. First you click on “Oost-Nederland”, then you get a list of ads with information about independent accommodation offered AND requested in the provinces of Overijssel and Gelderland (Nijmegen is in Gelderland).
- www.sleutelklaar.nl a website in Dutch with apartments, houses etc for rent
- http://kamers.pagina.nl a website in Dutch with lists of all sorts of links that deal with renting rooms.
Temporary (Tourist) Accommodation
It might be difficult to arrange accommodation from abroad, so you could move into a guesthouse or hotel first and then look for a place to live. You can visit the above mentioned agencies, post notes in supermarkets, put an ad in a local newspaper etc.
