离开的时候，系里秘书给我发了一个文件，里面有一些关于离开荷兰的注意事项，是针对MSC的。因为我离开的时候有些东西还是一头雾水，只是听一些毕业的同学说有这个有哪个，但总担心没有处理周全。看到这个文档就觉得清楚一些。大家毕业走的时候都double check一下吧。
Subject: Saying goodbye to the Netherlands
Dear student,
Soon your period of study in The Netherlands will come to an end. Probably you are preparing for your trip back home. In this letter, you will find information about several things to do before you say goodbye to The Netherlands.
City Office / ”GBA”
You will have to get your name removed from the Register of Population (GBA in Dutch) at the Town Hall of the municipality where you settled in. If you live in Enschede, this is the City Office. The rule to do so:
Report your departure (personally) at the desk of the Town Hall not more than 5 days before your leave The Netherlands and at the latest on the day you leave the country.
Validity of your Residence Permit
Most of you have a Residence Permit valid until September, but will graduate earlier. Because the reason of your stay in the Netherlands is "study", this means -by law- that you will have to leave the Netherlands (the Schengen countries) within about 10 days after your graduation.
There is one exception however: foreign students who received their MSc degree is offered the possibility to find a job (for which this MSc degree is required) in The Netherlands during a period of three months. Students that find a job which satisfies special demands, will receive a new residence permit. Students who have received their MSc diploma and who want to make use of this new regulation, can apply for it at the municipality in their place of residence. They need to bring a copy of their diploma.
I will inform the Immigration Service about the date of your graduation. If you are planning to stay in (one of) the Schengen countries longer than 10 days after your graduation, please inform me (also if you make use of the exception mentioned above). In case you do not inform me, you will have to leave within 10 days after your graduation!!
P.S.: in case you want to stay in the Netherlands for another reason than study, you need to apply for a new residence permit.
Bank account
For those of you who are not coming back to The Netherlands (soon), inform the bank that you will no longer be staying in the Netherlands and close your bank account. If you are coming back, you can have your mail sent to your address in your home country.
Insurance
Please check until which date your insurance is valid and make sure that your insurance is still valid on the day that you leave the Netherlands and you arrive on your destination, so that you are insured during your trip. In case you will stay in the Netherlands longer, please prolong your insurance. As you know, by law you are compelled to have a proper insurance; not meeting this requirement can have serious consequences.
Be sure you have done all declarations in time.
Subscriptions
Resign your subscription to societies or magazines, or inform them of your change in address.
Canteen/Building Entrance card
If you still have money on this card, you can go to the “kas” in the building ”Spiegel” to get your money removed from your card, and get the amount refunded. Since the card is property of the Computer Science Department and now no longer of any use to you we would like to have it back so the students of next year can use this card.
Key of the MSc room
In the beginning of the academic year you could pick up the key of the MSc Room so you could work in the weekend. You paid a deposit at the financial administration. When you return the key at their office the deposit will be handed over to you.
Central Library and Faculty-Library
Do not forget to return the book(s) you may have borrowed.
Your mailbox at the CC-complex.
Do not forget to empty your mailbox in the CC complex in the hall where you walk to the Canteen.

CS Account
Mention to the helpdesk that you will leave the Computer Science Department and that your account can be closed. You can do this through e-mail: [EMAIL="helpdesk@ewi.utwente.nl"]helpdesk@ewi.utwente.nl[/EMAIL]. Since your CS- Account will be closed I want to point out that you should make sure that there is not any important information left on your computer.
Study-material
The study material (books and readers) can be taken to your home country. Note that we will not sent the books to your home country, you will have to take them with you in your luggage.
Your (new) address in your home-country
Because we would like to stay in touch with you, please give me your (new) address (postal and e-mail if possible), preferably by e-mail to: ******@ewi.utwente.nl （系里秘书的邮箱）.
