The competent authorities in the Netherlands have issued a positive advice regarding your application for an "authorization for temporary stay" (MVV). Please submit IN PERSON at least 48 hours before departure the following marked documents:
- A valid passport - containing a blank visa page - valid for at least 3 months after issuing the MVV visa.
- Copy of the holderspage of the passport,
(x) One fully completed and signed Schengen-application form, with 1 recent, resembling photograph attached. (can be downloaded from our website)
(x) Original admission letter from your educational institute in the Netherlands (plus photo copy),
(x) Your original educational certificates and diploma's (plus photo copy).
(x) If you are currently studying: student card (plus photo copy) and original letter from the educational establishment, contact person, telephone number and their position.
(x) A clear photo copy of your legalised, notarial birth certificate. (photo copy of all the pages).
(x) Your original and complete family "hukou" book (plus photo copy of all pages and mentions),

The permission to issue you a provisional stay permit will expire 6 months after the date of this letter. After the provisional stay permit has been issued, you may proceed to the Netherlands where you have to report to the local authorities in the municipality of your settlement within three days of your arrival in The Netherlands in order to apply for a temporary residence permit, which will normally be granted if the following conditions are met:
- you are sufficiently insured against medical expenses, including expenses involved in admission and treatment in hospital and treatment in a psychiatric institution or sanatorium;
- you have had a test of your respiratory organs of tuberculosis, which must have a negative result;
- you are not accompanied by any dependent relatives;
- you have, according to the competent authorities, living accommodation which is up to reasonable standard.
The residence permit will be granted for 1 year with the possibility of yearly extensions, and will be granted solely for the purpose of study.
Please note:
- Additonal information may be requested
- New circumstances can still result in negatieve decission regarding your MVV application
- Do not buy a flight ticket before the visa has actually been issued.
The visa section is open from Monday until Friday between 09.00-11.00 hours.
