The DSM Excellence in Marketing and Sales (DEMS) has been established to strengthen DSM's Marketing and Sales profile, providing functional excellence support and leadership to the Business Groups as an internal consultancy organization. DEMS has the ambition to become a world class Marketing and Sales competence center and be the preferred solution provider for the Business Groups (BGs) in their drive for sustainable results. Within DSM excellence in Marketing and Sales, Capture Value is one of the core programs aimed at delivering sustainable impact and building Business Group’s skills and excellence, tailored to the individual business group’s needs in line with the strategic goals. Capture Value aims to ensure DSM exploits all possibilities to maximize the capturing of value in the market. It is centered on Customer Segmentation, Value Based pricing and margin management. Pricing as a key component is identified as one of the important levers for DSM to improve its (financial) performance and to improve its market- and customer orientation. This includes a consistent focus on the right customer and market segments and, developing compelling value propositions and monitoring the price and profitability performance.
It is translated towards the organization through account planning, identifying value capturing opportunities, creating more differentiation between different value propositions and a better pricing consistency within. Currently we are looking for a remarkable:
Marketing Consultant Capture Value
The Role: Working together in a project team with the Senior Marketing Consultant or Marketing Program Manager, the Marketing Consultant needs to be able to build bridges, convince, and advise DSM businesses worldwide. In a team he/she will plan, implement and embed the Capture Value tools successfully. He/she needs to learn and understand business dynamics quickly, as the Capture Value projects are typically on location, short term and under a tight work schedule.
The Marketing Consultant is able to effectively deal with different international business cultures, going beyond a level of basic understanding of these cultures, to ensure successful embedding of tools and concepts. He/she is able to deal with the complexity of a matrix organization with many interfaces in terms of: functionalities Finance & Control and Marketing & Sales, Business Groups and Business Units, other Corporate Departments in an international context. He/she makes things happen by managing and influencing a variety of stakeholders at different levels in the business. This requires a high degree of integrity, initiative, and strong influencing skills.
Location of the Projects will vary and will therefore require extensive travelling and flexibility. Capture value project team members are required to stay for a longer period at the project location for non-Netherlands based projects.

Primary Office: Sittard, The Netherlands. (You are expected to live within its proximity.)
Traveling Requirement: 50-75% (international)

The Requirements: - Masters degree is a must
- 3-5 years work experience working with an international management consultancy or a multinational in a Financial function
- Total fluency both in English and Chinese(Mandarin), writing and speaking as well as understanding of Chinese culture
- Strong analytical and communication skills with solid financial background and good sense for business dynamics.
- International orientation
- Able to work in cross-cultural environments effectively
- Basic project management skills (understanding structure & process of project);
- Good facilitation skills (like understanding and applying games and structure of workshop)
- Willingness to travel is a must
