The fees for applications that enable foreign nationals to work or study in the Netherlands or to form or reunite a family will go up on 1 July. This increase is in line with the coalition agreement, in which is laid down that the fees have to be as cost-effective as possible.The fee increase does not apply to the first application of highly skilled migrants, to Turkish nationals and their family members who can derive rights from the EC-Turkey Association Agreement, or to EU/EEA citizens.
The new fees apply to all applications that are submitted on or after 1 July 2011. The application forms with the new fees will published on the IND website before 1 July.
