师哥师姐们帮小女子看看导师的回复

申了一个UVA的博士项目，但是对方只挑了4个来面试，我正好排在第五。

导师的信中表示："you are so close to our requirement"，在最后还说了"We are, however, interested in you and it could be worthwhile to explore if there other ways for you to do research at our institute as you are clearly a very talented and motivated researcher. "

没有任何经验，所以请在座的师哥师姐们帮忙看看，导师这些话是不是“官话”？ He really mean that, or just said some bullshit thing?

是呀，我也是这么想的。多试一个又不缺什么？ 难道他们budget control那么严格？

我只能衷心希望前面4个面试下来还有我的机会了。

写一封信给教授，意思就是你十分想来TU，让他考虑你作为第一个面试候补。面试4个，如果挑一个，估计你的机会不大。如果挑4个，恭喜你，前面不可能都面试通过。

意思是让你走CSC吧……可能~~他们估计是不想给你出钱……

原来这样的，看来还是有经验的人才能读得懂啊。

谢谢大家的意见啦，他们应该是4选2. 把我放在waiting list上面也不算奇怪。

同madclaw 建议的一样，我也说了一些什么"hope there will be another suitable chance to achieve our cooperation in the near future"之类的官方回去。

Non-Scholarship, that is totally no way, 否则申请他们干嘛？嘿嘿
