General informationThe aim of the Bachelor of Science in Psychology programme is to provide students with a broad understanding of the main fields of psychology and to offer a basis for further study and independent research. The programme is designed to develop knowledge of the factors influencing human behaviour and to develop skills for the application of this knowledge in a wide range of settings, including the workplace, educational settings and community affairs. It develops such academic skills as preparing reports and giving presentations and such pracitical skills as administering diagnostic tests and conducting interviews.
Admission RequirementsTo be accepted into the programme you must have had a level of education comparable to that needed to gain admittance to a Dutch university degree programme (e.g., a Dutch VWO diploma, a German Abitur or the International Baccalaureate). Furthermore, you must demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Applicants for the English language bachelor's programme are required to submit a proof of sufficient proficiency in the English language. > More information
Career prospectsStudents who have successfully completed the Bachelor’ programme have the option of further study and a specialisation in the one-year Master of Science in Psychology programme. The Master’s programme consists of two specialisation courses, a skills practicum, a methodology course, two electives, and a Master’s thesis. Conditional admission to the Master’s programme is possible after completion of at least 165 ECTS of the Bachelor’s programme including the Bachelor’s thesis. The Master’s programme prepares students for a career in Fundamental or applied research or for a career as a consultant or policy advisor in different areas related to human behavior.
