Students who have a higher vocational (hbo) fashion design degree can apply to the Fashion Institute Arnhem.

With your application form please also enclose a C.V., 2 ID photo's and a design portfolio.
A first selection will take place on the basis of the submitted portfolio's. Subsequently those selected will be invited to give a presentation before a commission made up of various national and international professionals from the fashion world.
Fees
For the course a tuition fee is due. This sum can be paid in instalments during the course. In addition, students must allow for additional expenses such as workshops abroad and the manufacture of a collection that comprises a minimum of eighteen outfits. Students who still have an additional study year can apply for a student grant. Foreign students from the European Union can re-claim 60% of study expenses, another option is to apply for a student grant on condition that the applicant can prove he or she has worked in the Netherlands for 3 months.

How do I apply?
• Preparatory and other courses
You can apply on this website for an ArtEZ preparatory or other course. All the information that you will need, including the application form, is included in the Applying for preparatory and other courses section.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s and advanced courses
You will apply for your Bachelor’s course through Studielink, the online Dutch higher education registration system. All the relevant information about registering is included in the Applying for Bachelor’s and Master’s section. Read this information carefully.
Entrance
The entrance requirements differ according to the course in question. The website of the relevant ArtEZ institute includes specific information about the courses’ entrance requirements and procedure. This information is also included in the course brochures.
What happens once I’ve applied?
• Preparatory and other courses
Once you’ve sent your application form, you will receive an email consisting of an automatic confirmation of receipt and a copy of your form.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s and advanced courses
Once you have completed your application on Studielink, within a month the ArtEZ Student Affairs Department will send you a confirmation of receipt by email.
