With a non-Dutch Diploma

You are eligible to apply for the IBA programme if you have one of the following diplomas:

• An International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, including Math Standard or Math Higher. With an IB diploma including English and Math Standard or Higher, there are no extra tests required
  
• A European Baccalaureate (EB) diploma, including Mathematics (3 hrs). With an EB diploma including English and Mathematics (3 hrs), there are no extra tests required
  
• Another secondary or high school diploma that equals the Dutch VWO diploma, including English and Mathematics for which you have successfully passed or will pass the exam. For example, the German Abitur

In addition, you may have to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of Mathematics and English. Proficiency in English can be demonstrated by taking either a TOEFL or IELTS test. The required minimum score for TOEFL is 550 (paper based) or 213 (computer based) or 80 (internet based); for IELTS 6.0. The institutional code for TOEFL is 7199. If you have to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in Mathematics, you can take a Mathematics entrance exam, which is offered several times a year as from January until August at Erasmus University Rotterdam. In some cases, the Math entrance exam can be taken in your country of residence. For more information, please contact the IBA Office by e-mail: bsciba@rsm.nl.
For Chinese nationals additional criteria apply. Chinese nationals who prepare to go to the Netherlands for study purposes are required to submit the results of a IELTS test and register to the Netherlands Education Support Office (NESO) in Beijing for what is called a “NESO Certificate”.
The “NESO Certificate” is a document that provides an assessment of your English language proficiency as well as the educational degrees and diplomas that are required to gain admission to a Dutch institution of higher education.
It is the objective of these revised application measures that students coming to the Netherlands are sufficiently qualified to pursue their studies and benefit from a successful and meaningful stay in the Netherlands.

Application with a non-Dutch diploma
If you have a non-Dutch diploma, you need to take the following steps:
1. Proficiency in English is compulsory before a request for admission can be made. Proof must be presented by submitting the results of either a TOEFL test or from an IELTS test. You are exempt from an English test if English is your mother tongue, or if you have had English as your first language during your secondary education in a native English speaking country.
2. Contact the Admissions Office at admissions.office@oos.eur.nl once you have fulfilled the English-language requirements.
3. Send the Request for Admission Form including the necessary documents before May 15 to:

Necessary documents:

• Copy of your passport
  
• Certified copy of your secondary education diploma, grades

4. Register at IBG (only with Dutch nationality)
If you have the Dutch nationality, you have to register before May 15 with the Informatie Beheer Groep (IBG), the central Dutch Government Institution in charge of all university applications at Dutch universities. Register for International Business Administration. For non-Dutch applicants holding a non-Dutch diploma, the Admissions Office will take care of your IBG registration. The IBG application form can be found on the website of IBG.
Motivation Letter and end-of-year report
If you want to be included in the selection procedure, you will need to submit a motivation letter and an end-of-year report from your final or pre-final secondary school year, also before May 15.
