读博真的那么苦那么累吗？

it largely depends on your supervisor.

there scenarios:
1. if your supervisor is brilliant and well known in the community, all your hard work will finally pay off. in this case, you will be happy in the end.
2. if your supervisor is not brilliant but he gives you large freedom, you should be self-motivated to work on something you believe. in this case, you are also happy because you are doing what you really enjoy.
3. if your supervisor is not brilliant at all and keeps you doing crappy things, you are definitely not happy. in this case, maybe it's better to look for something more interesting and wait for the right time to say good-bye to him/her.

我的导师是第一类型，而且也让我写喜欢的（至少现在看来是这样）
