After reading this MSG, I feel even more hesitate to decide---take MEL or NOT ?

I believe there are still other perspective students who care for this subjet these days very much.
What do we expect to come aross in Holland??

I don't care how hard my life will be in the coming year, but I do have high expextation out of the program.
I can fight as much as I can, but it must be valued finally.

I always wonder how did the procedent students decide when they were facing this same situation.

i assume that most of the students who will come to the Netherlands for further study will think much of the outcome. we have already prepared to face the rough time, we  don't care how much we paid, but we do care what we could get after we exert oneselves.
anyway, we've been in for it, the result is what we could not design and even imagine, the only thing we can do is develop ourselves there,  and learn as much as we can,  last but not least keep dreaming.

The question is we still have other choices, Holland is not the only country offers degrees!! Of cause, it is another story if you were there already.

It's right to say Holland is not the only choice. But who can be sure about a place before he goes there? Based on this, how to choose a place, whereever it is , to further our study?  US? UK? Australia? or stay where you are?
We are not sure about it----this is the concern.
But we have to be realistic, is the chosen subject suitable for us? Maybe good for this guy but not another guy.
Good or not good for me is still a question mark. But I assum that everything has 2 sides.
横看成领侧成峰。
I do expect to get as much as possible info here, seems most of it is negative.
It is really disappointing though this mihgt not be the full picture of Holland.
But I thank whoever gives me advice before I make a decision.

Guys I feel puzzled and I don't know which is the wise choice.
How do you think?
Who has already decided to take MEL this year?

What the author said I never encountered in my university, UvA. Sometimes, yes, I complained that Dutch do all things slowly. Can you believe thaey build the wall of my international students hostel for 2 months and still building them now?
But, generally speaking, I llike the country and the University. They are kind, yes, Dutch people keep a distance from others, but they are kind. My lecturers always kind and answer my questions. Being a Chinese is not bad in here. I enjoy making friends with Dutch people and other international students here. Yes, sometimes, they think you are from an exotic country. Educate them!
Just relax and enjoy your life here. If the University is not good enough, that's you problem. I met some Chinese girls who study English here! But, Erasmus should be a good University. I don't know.
For the house rent, you know what, university never arrange rooms for dutch students, they have to find themselves. So, you can find you own for a cheaper price.
Don't always complaining!
