6 months MVV costs more than 800 euro application fee per person. so 2 person cost 1700 euro to apply...that's crazy...besides, it takes long to process for IND again...I guess 3 months something???
the new rule of 90 days in between 2 short stay visa's, is to make sure that you apply for this 800 euro MVV if you want to stay longer...so they make enough money from you... logical, right?
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT LEGALISATIONS FOR MVV:
As from 15 March 2006, all candidates* who want to apply for a Residence Permit "MVV" for the following reasons:
forming a family with someone in the Netherlands; or
to be reunited with family members already living in the Netherlands; or
as a religious leader for employment in the Netherlands
will have to take an exam in the Netherlands Embassy/Consulate on "Civic integration" before they can apply for the MVV.
Since preparation for this exam and obtaining a positive result, may take some time, it is possible that a legalisation made on forehand, will be no longer valid when the MVV-procedure can be started. Therefore, persons who want to legalize documents with the intention of starting an MVV-procedure after 15 March 2006, are strongly advised to do so only after having successfully passed the exam.
