关于AIO和PHD student.

我觉得这个教授还蛮sneaky的，呵呵

荷兰博士就是没有学费的，他用这个来作诱饵，狡猾狡猾滴呦

如果你是理工科的，就申请别的学校要求AIO吧，优惠多多

我们这里的中国人如果读文科，医学，大部分9是Phd student，但理工科的中国人基本一色青都是AIO哦！！所以不要上他的当也。荷兰人，就是天生的生意人.......所以对他们的话，要.............

我还是觉得教授忽悠我的可能性不是很大，倒是对于自己在那边能否顺利拿到学位有点没有信心。毕竟离开校园有一段时间了。 能否请大家再帮忙看看教授下面的话的意思。我现在担心的是我在那边的合法身份，如果花钱过去读书了，最后却什么都没有得到，岂不是悲惨？？

If you have a valid MSc-diploma that should give you admission to the PhD in the Netherlands. In due time we have to apply for a waiver for the Dutch MSc-examination, but that is only a formal thing, usually that application is made when your project goes to its end and it is clear that you will be able to pass the PhD. No need for any of these tests, and also no need to register with the university for the PhD it is only a matter between the student and the head of the department.

我已经出了第一年的资金证明，现在学校已经在帮我办理签证，顺利的话2-4周之内就可以拿到，有朋友建议我先过去，然后再想办法申请别的有工资的位子。 因为好多位子需要面试，如果人在荷兰，机会可能会更大一些。这样也许有点辜负了教授，但是。。。请教各位大侠这样可行吗？

如果你觉得自己条件还不错，建议你试试其他学校，理工科的基本上都是AIO，是签工作合同拿工资的，外国人也一样。如果你本身条件不怎么样，自己也不担心生活费，那就认了吧？

不过具体情况有的学校不同。你还是说说你的是什么大学吧。

我是理工科，我拿工资

我认识的所有理工科的，都不是自己出钱的。。。。就算不拿工资不是aio，也都是有荷兰方面的fund的，拿到的钱跟aio的工资一样多。。。。唯一一个女生，芬兰的，因为学制不同，所以是芬兰方面给她钱，就跟一般的奖学金一样。

phd一般没有学费一说的。楼主什么专业哪个学校，说出来看看有没有人知道内情。

你给学校工作，为什么还要给他们学费？没有道理， 学校应该给你签合同和工资的。

most of the case, not include who study music, will all get their salary
say no to that professor, if he are not going to pay. and tell him, you know the Ph.D in netherlands will be only either oio or aio and both of them will be pay.
normally, for science student, i think it will be at least 1000euros per month after tax, even just for your first year.

每周10个小时应该是我在学校的合法打工时间。其他时间我可能是上课和做实验。我在国内读的硕士，教授说我可以直接过去读博士，以下是教授当时给我的邮件：

If you have a valid MSc-diploma that should give you admission to the PhD in the Netherlands. In due time we have to apply for a waiver for the Dutch MSc-examination, but that is only a formal thing, usually that application is made when your project goes to its end and it is clear that you will be able to pass the PhD. No need for any of these tests, and also no need to register with the university for the PhD it is only a matter between the student and the head of the department.
Concerning the tuition fee we would be able to waive that one. The 10.000 euros you need for the visa, are necessary to cover your living expenses during the first year. When you are here, you may try to find some work, but officially you are only as a student to take a job for 10% of the working week. Which, I am afraid, will not give you sufficient money to live of. But it is up to you to make the final decision. Whatever your decision is, I will try to support you wherever possible.

教授并没有说明我的身份，后来我就向秘书求证这个问题，以下是秘书给我的回复：

You are a PhD student, usually only the Dutch are called AIO, it implies a contract. You are allowed to work 10 hours a week, provided it does not interfere with your studies. You will officially need 1000 euros a month to live on. Accommodation is quite expensive, rooms are around 350 a month, furnished. Food is ofcourse what you make of it, but 200 a month is the minimum.
