If possible, it is better to ask De Key to change from Valckenierstraat dorm to Sarphatistraat dorm. Valckenierstraat is built out of wood, and you share public place with 3 or 4 (I am not sure exactly). The isolation of sound is not good.

The dorm at Sarphatistraat is pretty new, but you have to share everything with one other roommate. It is big enough for 2 persons (around 40 m2), but the only drawback is that you do not have you private bedroom. If any of you two know each other and have the same gender, you can consider to rent a dorm at Sarphatistraat.

I lived there for one year (2004-2005). The place I live had internet access, and the rent I paid wad 311 euros/month. I was pretty happy about everything except that sometimes I got really angary about the noise made by someone that was having a party.

By the way, the dorm at both locations is very close to the Faculty of Economics and Business of UvA (2-3 minutes walking).

赞同，sarphatistraat的房子还是不错的，只要室友没问题。不过sarphati的房子安排都比较紧，不大换得到 。

Valckenierstraat 我当年有同学是整个appartment四个人share网络的，那就比较便宜了，每月10欧元吧。总得来说条件还是不错的。

8，9月份阿姆斯特丹房子难找极了，你刚来还是消停点吧，大不了半年后退房再找。

最后说dekey半年后都是可以解约的，住不满意大不了半年后再换，而且网络的话你住的地方离学校近，跑到学校上无线好了。当年经济楼外小板凳，是偶常去之处，赫赫。
