ABILITY TEST到底考什么???

一般大公司会有一种综合能力的考试。 象考 GRE一样， 分为 对你的文字能力，    看你是什么职位了， 如果是荷兰语的会有荷语的测试， 英语的当然就是英语了。 再下来就是看你对数字， 图形的敏感性， 你的逻辑能力， 再有就是会让你写文章， 当然也看你是什么职位了。
不过最关键的是你的直接老板会喜欢你。

This ability test is divided into 4 parts:
Verbal, Logic, Data analysis, Maths.

It wouldn't be too difficult if I had been given enough time. But every part must be finished within 15-30 mintues. Regarding the number of questions in each part, you can hardly finish it unless you are native speaker or driven by the basic instinct. So, I failed Verbal test. And that's the story.

P.S. It's a test for the candidate of Manager Trainee in a BANK.

I respectfully disagree

in my opinion, comparing face-fact interview and group discussion, this is easiest test you go through with when you have job interviews.

When I was finding the job, most of candidates who passed this kind of evaluation test are not native English speaker.

To be honest, I've got pretty high scores on math test and data analysis part.

But the verbal part is just too difficult. I've done GRE exam before, reached 2250 finally. And I'm very sure that this verbal test is more tricky than the GRE test....

you have to read a long paragrah and jedge the following deduction is right or wrong. 60 questions 20 paragraphs, in 30 mintues.

ABN's test could be hard. You will have experience to handle with this kind of test for next time

Anyway, I've received a call from ABN today, asking me to go for 5 interviews....:-)

the most difficult parts are coming....

恭喜呀！杀入下一轮了！成功的希望很大啊。

不知道LZ是什么学历背景，和银行相关的还是技术类的？有些好奇ABN的选人原则呢

(想和你当同事的说 ) 不过还在犹豫中。感觉ING更加商业化，经营的品种更多，发挥个人才能的余地更加大；ABN AMRO相当的职业化，相当正规，这样就比较''死''，个人色彩大概要被掩盖不少，好象只能弄个''温饱''，想做事业好象比较不太可能。

不过我觉得最重要的是能做一分很发挥才能，能得到锤炼的工作；不要做大船上的一个小螺丝钉；如果离开了大船，螺丝什么也不是。

以上个人想法而已。
