Webster University萊頓校區將於2016秋季開始提供MA in New Media Production碩士課程，有鑑於現今媒體產業及職缺需求，其碩士更重視在理論外的實作課程，確保學生對運用各種最新媒體技術的能力。

Fall 1 Term 2016
MEDC 5615 – New Media Tools: Core Course (3 credits)
This course will provide an overview of new and emerging media for students. As digital platforms are dynamic and in flux, the introduction of key and fundamental digital platforms may shift, however, important online and social media platforms for media projects will be introduced as part of this course.
MEDC 5250 – Visual Communication in Media: Core Course (3 credits)
This course will stress visual strategies for storytelling. The course will include static images, digital slideshows and videography. Students will learn techniques that are applicable to documentary films, photojournalism, television, and multimedia projects.
Fall 2 Term 2016
MEDC 5343 – Writing for Media Communications: Scriptwriting: Core Course (3 credits)
This course helps students develop several styles of nonfiction scriptwriting for storytelling across platforms. The course will apply to both traditional media (radio, television, films) and also emerging media structures (webisodes and the use of multimedia on social media platforms).
MEDC 5660 – Digital Photographic Workflow: Elective Course (3 credits)
This course covers the digital workflow involved in shooting still images with a digital camera, from the initial capture through processing to output. Students will work with DSLRs, learn the basics of camera usage, and learn how to use Photoshop to digitally process and adjust an image file and then to prepare it for output in both print and web.
Spring 1 Term 2017
MEDC 5100 – Audio Storytelling: Core Course (3 credits)
In this course, students will learn to tell stories through the creation and manipulation of verbal and non-verbal audio elements. Students will create audio essays, sound portraits, and audio mini-documentaries.
MEDC 5610 – Video for Interactive Communication: Elective Course (3 credits)
Students will learn the basics of operating video equipment to enhance storytelling and as the main production concept. Students will learn the basics of planning, shooting, scripting and editing in a non-linear, digital environment.
Spring 2 Term 2017
MEDC 5630 – Visual Design for Interactive Communications: Elective Course (3 credits)
This course will integrate the use of information graphics with social media. The course will stress how complex ideas and data sets can be visually expressed for use on the web and on various social media platforms.
MEDC 5640 – Interactive Programming: Elective Course (3 credits)
This course will involve students in the construction and design of interactive websites, applications, and mobile apps. Basic coding and the use of digital templates will be covered in this course, along with how best to deploy multimedia on various digital platforms.

Fall 1 Term 2017
MEDC 5690 – Interactive Project Management: Core Course (3 credits)
This course will stress the research and production of stories on multi-media platforms. Students will advance their knowledge of how best to use multimedia in a multi-platform digital environment while researching and producing stories.
MEDC 5331 – Media Communications Production: Video: Elective Course (3 credits)
This course will stress advanced editing techniques and the use of social media for the distribution and curation of video projects. The class is a hands-on course in portable production and editing, giving students a basis for understanding the use of this medium to meet the needs of the modern media workplace.
Fall 2 Term 2017
MEDC 6250 – Thesis Project in Media Communications: Core Course (6 credits)
This course challenges the student to demonstrate a synthesis of all previous course work in the creation of a capstone project.
