We are looking on a short term for a Trainee Purchasing assistant.
Core business of the Dokkumer Vlaggen Centrale is selling promotional products like flags, indoor banners, sun-umbrellas flagpoles and other related products.
Job description
Purchasing flags and flag-related products in the Far East.You take part in the purchasing team of the Dokkumer Vlaggen Centrale.
Your activities
The purchaser makes desk researches for the Far East market. You are responsible for making requests for quotations, ordering samples and taking care of the follow up of orders.
You are always looking for new purchasing opportunities and you follow new developments in the market.You work together with the sales department, accountmanagement and marketing department. The traineeship will give you the chance to gain experience in an international production and trading company.
Qualifications
• University degree or in the final phase in the Netherlands prefering International Business Management.
• You are ambitious, pro-active.
• You have good communication skills and you like doing business in an international company in maintaining business relations with Chinese suppliers by all modern communication means.
• You can speak and write English and Mandarin and possible speak basic Dutch.
• You are familiar and/or like to do international market research, orderplanning, quality control, logistic and the related office work.
