The United Kingdom proposes to change its visa procedures in the near future. The most important consequences for visa applicants will be as follows:
1) All applications will take a minimum of 8 working days to be resolved
2) The abolition of postal applications (All applicants need to submit in person, by on-line appointment. Children aged 5 to 16 need to be accompanied by a parent)
The only persons that are exempt from the new procedures are:
Children under the age of five
Holders of Diplomatic passports and accompanying dependants*
Holders of Official passports who are travelling on official business only*
United Nations officials holding UN Travel Documents who are travelling on official UN business only*
Holders of a certificate of entitlement confirming right of abode in the United Kingdom.
* applies to those who are accredited to The Netherlands only.
We envisage that the new visa procedures will come into effect on 15/11/05. Applications received by post on or after 1st November 2005 will not be processed. Please submit your application in good time.
