Just about two weeks ago, one brilliant PHD student XIAOWANG, who currently studies in Groningen has got into the show. During theshow, everyone enjoyed and appreciated his fabulous performance. However, oneof the judge, Gorden Heuckeroth made a number of snide comments mocking singer Xiao Wang's ethnicityduring Holland's Got Talent. Here is the link of the show that day, itis only four minuets. If you have not seen it, welcome to check this out anddecide yourself whether this is just a joke or it is racist? As a native Chinese, I deeply unappreciatedwhat Gorden have done. Although many Dutch friends and colleagues have beentelling me, that is just Gorden and he happens to make silly jokes. Still, I doNOT think what he said this time was a JOKE… He needs to apologize about whathe said, since TV is a media and Gorden’s judgments could influence the nextDutch generation to think Chinese people can only open restaurants, we allknow, this is not true! NOT all Chinese people needs to be related with “Number39 with rice” or “take away food” If you think Gorden’s comments should notbe showed on TV and Gorden as a judge should not give racist comments for theChinese singer.
