We have made an arrangement with City Hall in Maastricht that for students residing here for a maximum of one year there is no need to provide a legalized birth certificate.

This includes one-year master programmes and exchange students. For two-year master programmes, bachelor students and students who are planning to live outside of Maastricht the legalized birth certificate is required.
