The Telecommunication Engineering Group (University Twente, the Netherlands) has an open PhD position in the area of “Microwave Measurement and System Design”.
The research will focus on behavioral modeling verification as well as application in microwave power amplifier distortion correction. This study forms an integral part of the SLIMPAC research project being carried out for Philips Semiconductors.
Requirements for the candidate:
Master’s degree in electrical engineering, with affinity to and interest in microwaves, microelectronics and telecommunication system hardware. Experience in design and measurement of microwave (active) circuits is highly desirable. Computer skills in the use of at least one of the prevalent engineering/mathematical software packages, such as Matlab or Maple, the use of EE packages such as Spice, Cadence or ADS as well as in implementing algorithms in C++.
