National Student Song Contest
The National Association of University Cultural Departments (LOCO), of which the UT Vrijhof Cultural Center is a member, will organize a National Student Song Contest, open to university and HBO students. There are preliminary rounds in each of the university cities.
This year's category is singer / songwriter. From each preliminary comes a candidate for the national finals, which will take place on Saturday, May 28 at 7:30 pm in the Groningen Conservatory. The Enschde jury consists of Jeroen Latour (Apollo chairman), Valentijn Smit (Drienerloos Vocaal Ensemble director) and Rinze van der Wal (Enschede Music Festival commercial director). The Groove Phenomenon, the 2004 Enschede National Song Contest winner, will perform during the intermission and the jury consultation.
