请问博士工作合同到期应当如何延期居留

大家好，
我在今年10月博士的工作合同即将到期，目前正在找新工作但是尚未拿到offer，答辩也在合同到期的半年之后。

请问这种情况下适用于哪种延长居留的方式啊，能在不找到新工作的情况下延期么？还是一定要在居留到期前找到新工作？

你可以让学校给个证明去申请找工作1年期ID.

找HR，让HR给个证明，证明需要答辩毕业。

可以让学校帮你申请visiting research的ID,1年的。如果你是AIO性质的博士 学校会在你合同结束2个月左右发信给你 告诉你联系UWV申请失业金的事（如果你还没有找到工作的话）。

你可以申请另一种找工作ID即专门针对研究生以上或是境外TOP150学校毕业生的那种。这个是不能工作的。或者试试LS说的那种方法。

请问一般学校会同意给申请visiting research 吗？

Zoek jaar is indeed one of the  ways to extend your permit. A disadvantage about zoek jaar permit is that it is a permit with temporary purpose (according to the Dutch Alien Act 2000(B)).  So even if you have hit a 5 year record and have passed the integration test, you will still not be able to apply for a permanent residence. Also, with zoek jaar permit, you can only apply for a job that meets KM conditions.

And you are indeed entitled to UWV unemployment if you are not able to find a job after your contract is ended.

In whichever case, do apply for extension before your current ID is expired.

我以为zoekjaar不算断档。。。。看来错了，写论文加找工作，难啊，老板没准备给extension

谢谢答复，不知道申请zoekjaar的证明怎么开，一般来讲答辩委员会通过论文，要在论文递交后两个月，那时我的ID已经过期了，找学校秘书开的就可以吗？
