The MINI Cooper S has been selected as a recipient of Ward’s Autoworld Magazine’s “10 Best Engines” of 2011.

The Cooper S is honored for its 1.6-liter Turbocharged DOHC I-4 (manufactured by BMW) which produces a respectable 181 horsepower and 177 ft-lb of torque. The title of “best engine” is given annually to ten engines of varying displacements and configurations. To meet the criteria for Ward’s Best Engine, the engine must be included in a regular-production vehicle in the United States. The selection committee considers power and torque output, as well as NVH levels.

Other winners from this year’s competition include:

• 3.0L TFSI Supercharged DOHC V-6 (Audi S4)
• 3.0L N55 Turbocharged DOHC I-6 (BMW 335i)
• 1.6L Turbocharged DOHC I-4 (Mini Cooper S)
• 3.6L Pentastar DOHC V-6 (Dodge Avenger)
• 5.0L DOHC V-8 (Ford Mustang GT)
• 1.4L DOHC I-4/111kW Drive Motor (Chevrolet Volt)
• 5.0L Tau DOHC V-8 (Hyundai Genesis)
• 80kW AC Synchronous Electric Motor (Nissan Leaf)
• 2.0L DOHC I-4 Turbodiesel (Volkswagen Jetta TDI)
• 3.0L Turbocharged DOHC I-6 (Volvo S60)

CHIPTUNED 的？ 我的JCW原厂才211, JCW GP 也才218

JCW 211我打错了。。。但是MINI COOPER S 那是肯定的了！

o4' Cooper S 是170， 而且cooper s/jcw/gp 噪音大，不好驾控
不过提前恭喜，提车后搞个mini聚会 ；）

呵呵，可惜的是那天还是没有跑到极限，旁边车道总有大车。大车引起的气流在那个速度下会把你的车子往旁边猛推一下，如果没有经验很容易被那一阵吓到然后失控的。所以提醒下哥们买了车以后去德国过瘾的时候要注意这个事情 ...

是1.8T的TT？改装的？那车油门到底最高也就230了。。。
