Top talent is one of the major growth engines for both industrial and economic developments. To share knowledge and best practices on talent strategy and management, the VCWI (The association of Chinese scholars and engineers in the Netherlands) is organising its 1st talent forum on May 21st 2011, in Eindhoven. It aims to build a platform to bring together the employer, job agencies, and employee/job hunters to exchange information in talent recruitment, management, trainings and development. It provides also a job fair session and exhibition for potential job hunters and talent recruiters. Specifically, it will favour the participants in the following aspects:
- To understand the talent strategies and recruitment policies, as well as their talent demands, from various employers and organizations with big names;
- To share the information about talent trainings and soft skills as required for employee to improve their professional values;
- For employers and agencies to find potential talents for targeting recruitments and/or trainings, and for job hunters to find potential jobs.
The forum consists of 3 sessions, draft program is listed as below:
- Session 1: Talent strategy & demands, consisting of 4 presentations:
- High tech careers at ASML , by ASML
- An Introduction to Philips R&D China and its talent demand, by Philips R&D China
- Talent strategies, recruitment and management policies, by Shell
- Chinese Investment Enterprises in the Netherlands (ACIEN) and their talent demands, by Mr Dongkui Fang, Chairman of ACIEN
- Session 2: Talent soft skills and trainings, consisting of 2 trainings and 2 presentations:
- Strengthen your soft skills to increase your value as knowledge worker, by professional trainer from Schouten&Nilssen
- Intercultural Leadership Program: an introduction, by trainer from International Top Talent
- Session 3: Job fair & exhibition: Companies who have openings/vacancies, and would like to recruit talents, will present exhibition stands to have face to face communication with job hunters. Professionals can also hand in their CV to their interested potential employers.
