Each faculty has computer rooms where students can use a computer. As
mentioned in the paragraph headed ERNA, you have a mailing address
and you can freely surf the Internet. Also, as mentioned, you receive your
e-mail address, password and user name with your student card. If you
have not received this at the beginning of the year, please contact the

University Library
When you leave the Woudestein lecture-rooms hall, you can’t miss the
University Library, which is open to everyone.
The University Library specialises in the sciences taught at the univer-sity,
with the exception of Medicine. The Medical Library is situated at
the Hoboken complex. At the University Library, you can study in the
various reading rooms where reference works are available. You can also
read magazines or simply read a newspaper. Naturally, you can also bor-row
a book, which is free and only requires you to show your student
card. The reading rooms are located behind the central area: economics, busi-ness
management, statistics and magazines. A reading room for the
European Union is on the same floor as the lending section. The social
sciences, law and the electronics reading room are one floor up. One floor
down is the open magazine store, where you can copy articles and find
back issues of magazines. For detailed information, we recommend you
to read the various folder of the University Library, obtainable from the
information desks. There are leaflets on how to use the catalogue, maga-zines,
lending, etc.
Directly upon entering the library, you will find on your left the Rotter-dam
Reading-Room, which (as a member of the Rotterdam Academic
Society) you can use. Here you will mainly find literature about history,
art, art history, religion and language and literature.
