Are you sure you understand what is a permenant resident permit and what is a passport? Situation after 1 April 2003
You will lose your Dutch citizenship in the following cases:
- you voluntarily adopt another nationality
- you make a declaration of renunciation
- after your naturalisation as a Dutch citizen you did not make sufficient effort to give up your original nationality
- you voluntarily join the army of a country involved in hostile actions against (an ally of) the Netherlands,
- your Dutch citizenship is revoked because it has been shown that you provided incorrect information in order to acquire Dutch citizenship.
You will not lose your Dutch citizenship if:
- you acquire the nationality of the country in which you were born and in which you had your principal place of residence when you obtained this nationality
- prior to coming of age you had your principal place of residence in the country of this other nationality for an uninterrupted period of 5 years
- you are married to someone who holds this other nationality
- as an adult you lived outside the Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles or Aruba and outside the EU for an uninterrupted period of 10 years, whilst also having another nationality, and
- you always renew your passport or apply for a declaration of Dutch citizenship on time.
I can not find the statement regarding losing the passport. I did rember that I see it before. |
