Re: Earthquake Relief for China
As many of you are undoubtedly aware from the recent, intensive media coverage, China was recently rocked by a devastating 7.9 magnitude earthquake, causing widespread damage and loss of life.
While there are many natural events that occur each day, that inflict pain and suffering on people around the world, this one event has a personal element, in that it has touched the life of a xxxxx employee in China, Morgan Wen, whose home town/county was devastated by the earthquake. These are his words to describe what has happened:

As we know from more recent media reports, the death toll is only expected to grow - much larger - as rubble is excavated and the chance for finding trapped survivors dwindles with time.
In response to this natural disaster, xxxxx is preparing to make a donation to the Chinese Charity Foundation in support of the earthquake relief effort. Over the course of the next week, until May 22nd, we will be gathering donations from employees who wish to make a contribution, and then sending a single cheque to the charity on behalf of xxxxx and all employees."
