Olympic Games, wondrous annual economy growth, increasing export revenue.
Whether it is an opportunity or a threat, China becomes an inevitable topic
in the international business society. In this trend, some have already set
up their establishments in China to take full advantage of the cheap labor
and huge consumer market; some are trying to find their way there; and
others are still watching. However, they are facing a same problem, and a
same challenge, that is the difference in culture and legal system.
We take the liberty in this seminar to gain you a bit insight into Chinese
culture, particularly that related to business conducting; where lies the
root of such culture; and some do's and don'ts will surely be favorable for
you doing business in/with China. Furthermore, an introduction of Chinese
law will be made with respect to contract, foreign investment and etc.
Though discussion of some practical legal issues, you may identify your
thoughts or situations on similar matters. In this seminar, we will
nevertheless give particular attention to the intellectual property issues
around trading with or producing in China.
After all, we hope this seminar will help you to better comprehend the
Chinese culture, and get your China business easier going.

De lezing "Chinese Business Culture" begint om 11 uur op zaterdag a.s. 17
mei. Mevrouw N. Zhang en V. Xiong zullen deze lezing verzorgen. Deze lezing
is in het Engels.
De olympische spelen, een bewonderenswaardige economische groei en een
groeiende export en welvaart. Het zal duidelijk zijn dat China een niet weg
te denken land is in de wereld van vandaag!
Al veel bedrijven hebben contacten gelegd met China vanwege de goedkope
arbeidskrachten en de enorme consumentenmarkt. Sommigen zoeken nog, anderen
kijken eerst nog even de kat uit de boom. Zij komen dezelfde problemen
tegen. Dat is tevens dezelfde uitdaging. Het verschil in de Chinese en de
westerse cultuur.
In deze lezing krijgen we een beter inzicht in de Chinese cultuur, in het
bijzonder wat betreft de zakenwereld. Wat is belangrijk? Wat moet je doen en
wat moet je laten bij het zaken doen in China? Verder zal men in de lezing
ingaan op de Chinese aspecten wat betreft contracten en investeringen. In
deze lezing zullen we verder aandacht besteden aan de intellectuele aspecten
wat betreft handel met en het fabriceren van goederen in China.
