Professor XX informed me that he offers you both a position as a post-doc, you will be going to work for him as a researcher at the Leiden University Medical Centrefor the period of two years. The intention is to start August 1st 2008.
Your gross salary will amount to € 2763,- per month. Your holiday allowance, amounting to 8% of your gross salary, will be computed per month. The total allowance is paid at the end of May. The year-end bonus amount 4,25 %.
Under the provisions of the law, Leiden University Medical Centre is required to make a number of deductions from your salary. This means that the net salary will be about € 1813,- per month.
You are legally bound to have a Dutch health insurance. Leiden University Medical Centre has a collective contract with UMC health insurance, the costs are about € 100,- per month.
Because you have special knowledge you could have the possibility of getting a tax reduction (30% regulation). This means that you have to pay 30% less tax, we have to ask the tax office for that and they will decide if you have the right to get this, this means that you net salary will increase.
With effect from the date on which your employment starts, you shall be admitted as a member of the pension scheme of the Pension Fund (“Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP”). You shall be registered for the ABP fund by the Salary Department.
The basic extent of holiday leave is 168 hours per calendar year for a full-time employment. (36 hours per week).
