请问如果老板以工作表现为由，要提前终止我的合同，我应该如何保护我的合法权益？
另外，因为我在这方面不甚清楚，通过什么途经可以获得不过于昂贵的法律咨询。 非常感谢！

你签的是什么合同 一年的还是永久的？

前三个月适用期是可以的，后来应该不允许终止合同吧。

thanks! I guess my boss realizes the issue as well, so now he suggests we continue as the contract expires.

Employor can stop the contract anytime, but should give employee 3 months notice in advance.  For permannet contract, there can be some compensation, but for not-permenant contract, no compensation. That means if your boss tells you to stop your contract, you still can be in the position for another 3 months. If you tell your boss that you want to stop the contract, you also need give your boss 1 month time, afterward you can leave the position.
