How to choose PhD's supervisor

Sorry to bother you guys again!

I would like to choose a professor as my supervisor in a group of ee of TUD. In that group these are 2 prof. ,3 associate prof. and 3 assistent prof in academic staff .Do all of them have qualification to be supervisor of PhD ? Give me some advice pls.

BTW: what is a "promoter" mean in Holland?

1. you should check which professor has available Phd projects? It is the phd project deciding everything, not you can choose any professor as will. Normally, there is not many choices at the same period.

2. Promoter means your real boss, the one who raise your phd project, the one who you should listen to the most.

I want to clarify something: You mean I should directly contact the Professor and express my thought in the E-mail ,In the E-mail I should told him/her I want him to become my Promoter ,not Supervisor.
Am I right?

你理解错了。你要做的是：
1。查查有什么博士项目
2。根据博士项目，去找对应的professor
3。一般项目上留的联系人就是这个项目的promoter.你决定不了谁是promoter，你只能决定申请哪个博士项目
4。promoter和supervisor不冲突。比如我的promoter就是supervisor,有人promoter和supervisor不一样，甚至有人有多个supervisor.
