昨天收到学校email，说开学前有个Leiden University Induction Programme 可以参加，一共有三个部分：
I.13-17 August- "EL CID" Orientation Week
=> for both Dutch and International students, organised by students for students.
You will be meeting many new fellow students, Dutch as well as international, with whom you will explore & discover the city of Leiden and the university in all its facets.
Cost: 60 EURO
II.20-29 August Induction Week for International Students
=> for international students organised by Leiden University.
This is the key part of the induction programme and will provide you with an in depth induction into Dutch academic life. It consists of:
- Intensive language training in Dutch & English
(special focus on: debating, classroom daily life situations)
- An introduction to the Dutch educational system
(including: hierarchy in the classroom, grades, academic writing, etc.)
- Cultural Awareness training focused on international classroom situations
- Social & sport activities to get acquainted with student life in Leiden .
Cost: 260 EURO
III. 30-31 August: general Introduction Days
=> for international students, organised by the International Office.
These two days commence with a formal welcome by the Rector magnificus and are concluded with a reception on day one and a party on day two.
Cost: free
