DELTA programme
DELTA (Dutch Education: Learning at Top level Abroad) is a scheme that enables Dutch higher education institutions to award scholarships to students from the People's Republic of China, Indonesia, Taiwan and South Africa.
Thanks to an initiative of the Dutch government, many Dutch higher education institutions are able to offer what are known as DELTA scholarships to help students cover the costs of studying in the Netherlands.
The Dutch institutions may offer DELTA scholarships to students who:
are 35 or younger at the start of the academic year;
possess the Chinese, Indonesian, Taiwanese, or South African nationality;
are admitted to the Dutch programme on the basis of prior education in their home country;
will be studying in the Netherlands for a period of between 3 and 12 months within one academic year;
meet the visa requirements for entering and residing in the Netherlands as a foreign student.
More information can be obtained only from a participating Dutch higher education institution, a Netherlands Education Support Office (NESO) or the Netherlands Education Centre Jakarta (NEC).
If you are eligible and wish to be considered for a DELTA scholarship, you should contact a Dutch higher education institution or the Netherlands Education Support Office (NESO) in Beijing, Taipei or NEC Jakarta. The office can also tell you more about studying in the Netherlands, it can mediate on your behalf as you apply to a Dutch institution, and it can help you get a visa. |
