Due to worldwide growth we are looking for a:
Web Designer / Developer (Chinese speaker)
Working as part of a small but growing development team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coding, testing and support of new business applications and enhancements to current applications for our Chinese partners. The candidate must possess good communication skills in Chinese and English, have strong web design skills and also have some programming experience.
The responsibilities of this position include:
<LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Web design and maintenance <LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Application development and maintenance. <LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Working with end-users to translate their business requirements into technical specifications. <LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Documenting applications under development. <LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Providing end user support and training. <LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Ensuring that project timelines are met. <LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Providing and/or participate as necessary in end-user education.
- Close interaction and collaboration with all other IT functions to ensure inter-operability of systems and consistent approach.
Our ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
<LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Good communication skills in Chinese and English. <LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Web Design or Computing related qualification with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Designing web applications using Photoshop, HTML.
4. Client facing skills
The following skills would be desirable
<LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Developing web applications using ASP.NET and C#, in a Visual Studio.net environment. <LI class=MsoNormal style="COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: normal; TEXT-ALIGN: left; tab-stops: list 36.0pt">Experience using SQL Server and stored procedures.
- Experience with structured systems development life cycle.
