Portfolio requirements
For the MSc programme Architecure, Urbanism & Building Sciences, a portfolio of work samples is required. The portfolio should consist of work samples of the attended diploma programme, including the final project. Working experience may be added to the portfolio, but it must be clear that is professional work, with an indication the status of the work.
Quality is more important than quantity. A portfolio should show the whole range and variety of previous training, development and experience and should emphasise your knowledge of the subject for which you are applying. You should submit work that represents your personal fascinations, interests and your abilities.
Copies of finished drawings and sketches of original design concepts should be part of your portfolio. Sketches should show preliminary visual and (verbal) idea development and problem solving. They are also an example of how you develop and organize your projects and ideas. Recommanded to show researching and exploration of a design project. A descriptive paragraph explaining the design concept and solution should be included with each project submitted. You must indicate clearly the exact role that you played in the creation of the work submitted. |
