Gay Pride Amsterdam is the yearly highlight for gay Amsterdam. This year Amsterdam Pride will be organised from 4 till 6 August 2006. Don't miss this thrilling weekend, as Amsterdam Pride is one of the biggest and most special gay prides around the globe! With street parties all weekend long, the best club circuit parties and of course the famous Canal Parade on Saturday.
Gay parties and events

Friday 4 August
First night of the Pride weekend. Tonight the big gay streetparties will take start at the Reguliersdwarsstraat (Young / trendy), Amstel (Dutch) and Westerkerk around the Homomonument (slightly underground), Amstelveld (clubby, mixed), Paardenstraat (Women), Rembrandtplein and Halvemaansteeg. (Dutch / popular).
Saturday 5 August
The highlight of the Amsterdam Gay Pride weekend is the famous Canal Parade on Saturday afternoon. Where most parades use trucks, Amsterdam has boats!
100 spectacular decorated boats with beautiful boys &girls will sail from 14:00 till 18:00 through the Prinsengracht and Amstel river. The gay parade is watched by 350.000 spectators every year. |
