From September till the end of December 2006 the Asian games are in Qatar. 70 students from CHN Qatar will contribute to this event by doing their internship at the Asian Games. Now this opportunity is there too for IHM students in Leeuwarden who come from China, Russia, South-Korea or Japan. The learning and working experiences you will have with the Asian Games concern the capacity as resident Centre Supervisor in the Athletes Village.
Job Description: your job profile will include, but not be limited to the following:
• Manage their respective Resident Centre and their dedicated Village Housing Assistants.
• Provide day to day customer service needs for the residents
• Coordinate the implementation of the Policies and Procedures for the Resident Centres operation.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping on additional housekeeping request.
• Implement the process of issue recording, tracking and reporting system to be submitted to the Village Operations Centre.
• Assist when needed, the NOC Services Department, for the prompt resolutions of issues that arise regarding the accommodation of the Athletes and Team Officials.
• Implement Health & Safety and Fire Evacuation Policies and Procedures.
Experience Requirements:
To fill this position we are requiring a person, who possesses the following:
• Fluency in English and one of the following Asian Languages (Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin) or Russian is required.
• 1-2 years work experience in hotel, restaurant or IHM school.
• Experience in customer service.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

This learning and working experience will be graded as your minor and you will receive an expense allowance of 1.500 euro (net) a month.
