其实一点都不难.....比英语简单多了 because you have german as your base? :)
Anyway I agree with you - dutch is easier than English - at least for Chinese.
Dutch pronouciation in most case goes with the spelling, not like English. This is really helpful for non-spelling native speakers like Chinese.
Dutch language tenses are 'a bit' less than English tenses (for example, the dutch past participle tense can cover the English past tense, past perfect tense and past participle tense). For non-tense languages, like Chinese language, this is much easier to understand.
The difficult part for me is the structure of the sentense (not like the order of english and chinese sentenses) and the nightmaire of 'de' and 'het'. I don't have any latin or germanic language basis.
