We are hiring an experienced professional who will be the right hand of Bas Beek, the founder and owner of our international early education company. Operating in the Netherlands and China right now, you will be responsible for both the Dutch and Chinese right hand decision making and workload. As a fluent Chinese, English and preferably Dutch speaker you will be responsible for all first contact to Bas and manage his schedule, emails and other important daily matters. You are excellent in understanding and prioritizing all the business matters that come across a successful entrepreneur. In this role, you are able to communicate with other high level entrepreneurs, CEO’s, government officials and key decision makers that need to be addressed. As the company has a young, dynamic and accessible culture you will also need to have sufficient social and sensitivity skills to communicate with colleagues, competitors and others who are less business minded and more education focused. You are representative and an independent thinker with a strong opinion to e.g. assist in the Chinese branding process.
It is your main task to make sure Bas can focus his scarce time on the things that he is best in and the most important things that can only be done by him. All the other work has to be prioritized and done by you or presented to him at the right time, without deadlines being missed or stakeholders being frustrated or dissatisfied. The greater goal of your job is to assist in the growth of the global business, for which you will receive obvious assistance from the rest of the company with 60 head office employees in the Netherlands (600 operational) and 5 head office employees in China.
You are expected to be able to write PR documents, build business models, check balance sheets, do financial and tax reviews and create inspiring (sales) presentations. Next to that, you arrange all necessary things for Bas at the times he will need this. This means your job will have flexible working hours and locations, depending on his schedule and e.g further international market research in other countries.
As the company is a growing and ambitious company, you are also expected to grow as a person and as a valuable member of our team. This means that, when growth expectations are met, you will be able to take on a position in our Management Team within 1-2 years after starting with this job. The type of MT position can vary and depends on your skills, knowledge, ambition and passion. The options are Manager Marketing, Business Development or Finance. Requirements
- Higher and independent level of thinking and working
- 3-15 years working experience in relevant fields
- Knowledge of finance, strategy, planning, management, entrepreneurship, administration
- Flexible and energetic lifestyle
- Excellent Chinese, Dutch and English communication skills (speech, reading and writing)
- Productive, efficient and very effective, high level of prioritizing and accuracy
- Excellent in working with excel, powerpoint and other relevant software
