The animal kingdom in ice
It is cold in Madurodam! The smallest city of the Netherlands is temporarily hosting a spectacular exhibition: ‘Magic Ice Zoo’. A team of nineteen Chinese artists have created a complete animal kingdom using enormous blocks of ice. Four sections are showing animals from different parts of the world: the Netherlands, Africa, Asia and the North and South Pole. From a Dutch cow to a naughty monkey, from a wild rhino to an exotic panda; all made of ice!
Warm clothing
The exhibition is located in an indoor hall of 1000 m², where the temperature is permanently maintained at -10 °C. Warm clothing is advised, and body warmers can be borrowed at the hall entrance.
Ice fun
Have your photo taken standing in front of a colossal elephant or coming down an ice-cold slide at full speed. After the exhibition, you can have an ice cream or enjoy one of the other delicacies at our restaurant looking over the miniature city. The exhibition is an experience for young and old alike!
The opening hours during the exhibition are: daily from 15 March until 28 May from 09.00 – 20.00 hours. No extra charge is made for the exhibition.
