The following supplementary documents should be submitted for
the partner/spouse of the highly educated migrant:
– a copy of the valid international travel document of the migrant’s
partner/spouse showing his/her personal details and the expiry
date of the document;
– the signed photo form;
– if the couple are married or registered partners: form M46,
completed and signed;
– for a spouse: a copy of the marriage certificate which has been
legalised or provided with an apostille;
for a registered partner: a copy of the partnership registration
certificate which has been legalised or provided with an apostille;
– for a non-married partner: a copy of a declaration of unmarried
status for both partners, issued no earlier than six months ago.
– proof of income. The documents can be copies.
– a copy of a birth certificate which has been legalised or provided
with an apostille for ascertaining personal details for the Municipal
Personal Records Database (GBA).
And complete and send in the annexes:
– TBC declaration
– Antecedents declaration

signed by you
– Proof of insurance taken out in your name
– An original extract (not a copy) from the Municipal Administration
(GBA) that shows your address and family composition, not older
than six months
– The Civic Integration Requirement Annex (continued residence
after three years concerning family reunification or formation) fully
