(Near) Native Chinese Speaker for Temporary Annotation Job
Are you in for a flexible part-time temporary job where you can work with your own language?
We are Textkernel, an international software company in Amsterdam Noord that specialises in information extraction, document understanding, web mining and semantic search & matching in the Human Resources sector. We started 15 years ago as a spin-off of academic research and nowadays we have more than 70 colleagues from 10 different countries, developing all new and interesting recruitment software solutions. Currently, we are looking for annotators to mark information in documents (CVs) so that we can train our software to recognize Chinese information. Although we are an IT company, you don't need any advanced computer skills. This job requires a bit of insight in linguistics, but being consistent and accurate is the most important. The project will last around 4 weeks, starting in the very near future, and the payment will be €12.50 per hour. The annotators will undergo a short training in the beginning of the project at Textkernel’s premises, after which they can choose whether to continue working at our offices or remotely.
Job Requirements
(Near) Native knowledge of Chinese language. Conversational knowledge in English or Dutch. Basic computer skills. Accurate, reliable and with attention to detail. At least 20 hours/week available. Eligible to work in the Netherlands. Academic studies (completed or ongoing) in any field, though individuals with linguistics background will be preferred. Not colour blind!
